Ruby Divine offers Classic Lash Extensions, Hybrid Lashes, and Volume (Russian) Lashes – each individually applied and custom designed to suit your eye shape and desired look. Lash refills are available from 2 weeks to keep your lashes looking full between full sets.
What is the difference between classic, hybrid, and volume lashes?
Classic lashes apply one extension to each natural lash for a clean, natural look. Hybrid lashes blend classic and volume techniques for a textured, wispy finish – the most popular style at Ruby Divine. Volume (Russian) lashes apply multiple ultra-fine extensions per natural lash for a dense, glamorous result that’s still soft and lightweight.
What is a lash lift and is it better than extensions?
A lash lift curls your natural lashes from the root using a semi-permanent treatment – no extensions needed. It’s a great option if you prefer a lower-maintenance look, have sensitive eyes, or lead an active lifestyle. Results last up to 6 weeks and include a lash tint for extra definition. Extensions and lash lifts suit different goals – Claire will help you decide what’s right for you at your consultation.
What is brow lamination?
Brow lamination restructures your brow hairs using a gentle chemical process, creating volume, fullness, and density. The brows can then be styled fluffy or sleek depending on your preference. Combined with a shape and tint, it’s a complete brow transformation that lasts up to 6 weeks – and requires no daily makeup effort.
Will eyelash extensions damage my natural lashes?
No. Ruby Divine uses only premium quality adhesives and products, and every extension is applied with precision to protect your natural lash. Correct application – which comes from experience – is what keeps your natural lashes healthy. Claire has been doing this for over 15 years.
I have very sensitive eyes. Are eyelash extensions suitable for me?
Yes, in most cases. Ruby Divine stocks a range of adhesives including formulas specifically designed for sensitive eyes. Because extensions are bonded approximately 1mm from the lash root, the adhesive never contacts the skin. If you have concerns, mention them when booking and Claire will advise the best approach for you.
How long do eyelash extensions last?
Eyelash extensions are semi-permanent. As your natural lashes grow and shed, the extensions go with them. Most clients find their lashes look great for 3–6 weeks depending on their lash cycle and how well they follow aftercare advice. Refills every 2–3 weeks keep your lashes looking consistently full.
Can I get my lashes wet or go swimming?
Yes – after the first 24 hours. Once the adhesive has fully cured, you can shower, swim, and go about your normal routine without worry. Lash extensions are perfect for holidays, beach days, and active lifestyles.
Can I wear mascara with lash extensions?
Most clients find they don’t need or want to. If you do, Ruby Divine recommends a water-based mascara – never waterproof – and an oil-free eye makeup remover. Oil-based products around the eyes break down the adhesive and shorten the life of your extensions.
Caring for your eyelash extensions
Before your appointment
Arrive with clean, makeup-free eyes if possible – especially no mascara or eye makeup. Waterproof mascara residue can create a barrier that affects how well your extensions bond. You’ll also be lying on your back with your eyes closed for 1–2 hours, so wear something comfortable and switch your phone to silent.
Immediately after
For best results do not touch or wash your eyelash extensions until 24 hours has passed. This will give the glue a good length of time to fully cure.
General Care
To prolong the life of your extensions avoid sleeping on your stomach, rubbing your eyes or using oil based products on your lashes or eye area.
To keep lashes looking great we recommend using an eyelash comb to gently brush the lashes into place particularly when rising in the morning.
How do I remove eyelash extensions?
Always have extensions removed professionally by a qualified technician using a specific adhesive remover. This protects your natural lashes from damage. Never pick or pull at your extensions — book a removal appointment with Claire and it’s a quick, painless process.

Ruby Divine is located at 23 Barrabui St, Bracken Ridge QLD 4017 – a private home studio on Brisbane’s northside. Appointments are available Monday to Friday including Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
